Stuck In Corporate? | Corporate Burnout, Christian Women, Career Transition, Faith-Based Coaching, Corporate Exit Strategy

You are good at your job. You have the title, the salary, and the LinkedIn profile to prove it.

And you are miserable.

Not because you are weak. Not because you are ungrateful. But because God did not wire you to spend the best hours of your life building someone else's dream.

You feel it every Sunday night. That pit in your stomach. That quiet voice that keeps whispering — this is not it.

That voice is not anxiety. That is your calling.

Welcome to Stuck in Corporate? — the only podcast built around the God-led corporate exit strategy for Christian women who are done choosing a paycheck over their calling.

I am Holly Powell — Corporate Exit Strategist, faith-led coach, and the woman who walked away from a 20-year career on nothing but obedience and a plan. I did not wait until it made sense. I moved when God said move. And I have never looked back.

This is not a podcast about hustle. It is not about building a six-figure business overnight. It is about something far more important — getting your life back.

Every week I will give you the real plan, the hard truth, and the holy boldness you need to walk out of that building on your terms — with your faith leading, your family intact, and your calling finally in front of you.

If you are a Christian woman who knows she is meant for more — this is your next step.

Let's get you unstuck.

👉 Ready to stop letting fear make decisions that God already made for you? Book your Corporate Exit Strategy Call here: www.stuckincorporate.com
Because here's the truth friend...
You have spent so much time asking the wrong question.
What if it doesn't work? What if I fail? What if I lose everything I've worked so hard to build?
But nobody — and I mean NOBODY — is asking the better question.
The scarier question.
The one God has actually been waiting for you to ask.
What if it actually works?
If you are in the middle of a faith career transition and you keep talking yourself out of leaving corporate — this episode is for you.
If career burnout has you convinced that the safe, stable, predictable path is your only option — this episode is for you.
If you are a woman who knows deep in her spirit that she was made for a purpose driven career but fear keeps winning — friend, this episode is especially for you.
Inside, I break down:
🖤 Why we plan for failure like it's inevitable but treat success like it's a fantasy
🖤 The real reason career change for women feels so terrifying — and it's not what you think
🖤 The 4 powerful what ifs that will completely flip the script on your fear
🖤 What my own journey of leaving corporate taught me about trusting God over my spreadsheet
🖤 Why your calling doesn't need your perfect plan — it just needs your YES
Because here's what I know to be true...
God is not sitting in heaven planning your failure.
Jeremiah 29:11 says He has plans to prosper you, to give you a hope and a future.
So why are you spending all your time planning for the alternative?
The life you keep daydreaming about at your desk? It is not a fantasy. It is a decision.
And you can make it today. 🙌
If this episode hit home — if you are sitting in that corporate chair right now wondering if it's finally time to move — let's talk.
I have Corporate Exit Strategy Calls open right now and I would love to help you get clear on your next step. www.stuckincorporate.com
Cannot wait to help you take your next step. 💛
P.S. — If you know a woman who is stuck in a faith career transition right now and needs to hear this today — forward this to her. Your share could be the nudge that finally gets her unstuck. 🖤

👉 Ready to stop second-guessing and start walking in your calling? Book your Corporate Exit Strategy Call here: www.stuckincorporate.com
Because here's the truth friend... if you've been trying to leave that corporate job for 2, 3, maybe 5 years — and you still haven't moved — it's not your finances. It's not your timing. It's not your circumstances.
It's that you don't fully trust God enough to take the next step.
And I know, because I was YOU.
In this episode, I get vulnerable about the real reason so many high-achieving women stay stuck in corporate — and it's not what you think. Inside, I break down:
🖤 The 3 real reasons we second-guess our God-given calling 🖤 Why over-analyzing everything is just fear dressed up in a business suit 🖤 What Esther's story teaches us about trusting God in impossible, life-or-death moments 🖤 Why God doesn't need your perfect plan — He just needs your YES 🖤 How to take your next step even when you don't feel ready or equipped
Because here's what I know to be true...
God doesn't call the equipped. He equips the called.
Esther didn't second-guess. She didn't overanalyze. She put her faith in the Lord and took action — and she saved not only herself but her entire people.
So here's the question I'm leaving with you today: If our loving and generous God could guide and protect Esther in her calling… what makes you think He wouldn't do it for you?
It's time to stop auditing your calling and start walking in it. 🙌
If this episode hit home, I'd love for you to share it with the woman in your life who needs to hear it today. Your share could be the nudge that finally gets her unstuck.
And if YOU are ready to stop sitting in that corporate chair and finally make your move — let's talk. Book your Corporate Exit Strategy Call here: Calendly

Hey friend — this episode is straight from my heart to yours. I recently had the most incredible opportunity to see Mel Robbins live in Atlanta and I knew the moment I sat down that everything she was saying was meant for you too. In this episode I am sharing the biggest lessons I took away and connecting them directly to the woman who is exhausted from burnout, silently fighting imposter syndrome, and wondering if a career change is really possible for someone like her. If you have been sitting on your dream and waiting to feel ready — this episode is going to challenge you to stop waiting and start moving. Because thinking doesn't change your life. Action does. And true work-life balance and purpose? They are waiting for you on the other side of that decision. Come listen. I think this one is going to hit different. 🎙️

Have you ever watched God move fast in one area of your life — and then felt like He went completely silent in another?
That's exactly where I am right now. My North Carolina house sold in three days. My Delaware house has been on the market for almost a month. Eight hours away. Out of my hands completely. And it is teaching me everything about what it really means to bless and release the outcome.
In this episode I'm getting real with you — because I'm still in the middle of this one. No neat bow. No tidy ending. Just me, in the waiting room, choosing surrender on the good days and the hard ones.
We're talking about:
Why the waiting is not wasted — even when it feels like nothing is moving
What "bless and release" actually looks like in real life — not just as a phrase but as a daily practice
The difference between blessing it, releasing it, and surrendering the outcome — and why all three are connected
Why God's timeline is not your timeline — and how to stay faithful while you wait
Whether you're waiting on a house, a job, a business breakthrough, or a door that just won't open — this episode is for you.
Your three days is coming. But right now? This is your Delaware house season. And you don't have to white-knuckle your way through it.

Have you been putting off your next chapter because you don't feel ready? Because you don't know enough yet? Because that voice in your head keeps telling you that you are not qualified, not experienced enough, and not prepared enough to take the leap?
That voice has a name. It is called imposter syndrome. And in this episode I am calling it out — because it has been lying to you long enough.
In Episode 36 of Stuck In Corporate? I am breaking down why waiting until you have it all figured out is not wisdom — it is a trap. And I am giving you the tools, the truth, and the scripture to help you take your first real step before you feel ready.
Because here is what I know: nobody has it all figured out when they start. Nobody. The only difference between where you are right now and where you want to be is one thing — starting.
WHAT YOU'LL DISCOVER IN THIS EPISODE
Why "I don't know enough yet" is quietly keeping you from the very thing that will teach you
The real reason imposter syndrome only shows up when you are onto something big
Why you do not need more than you already have to take your first step
How God equips you as you go — not before you go
Why authenticity is more powerful than perfection when you are starting something new
QUESTIONS TO SIT WITH
Grab your journal and let these land:
On waiting to feel ready:
What is the one thing I have been waiting to know more about before I start?
Could I learn this better by doing it than by studying it?
What would I do today if I knew I could not fail?
On imposter syndrome:
What is the voice in my head saying about why I am not ready?
Is that voice telling me the truth — or is it protecting me from discomfort?
What is one truth about my gifts and calling that I can replace that voice with?
On starting with what I have:
What do I already know that someone else would find genuinely valuable?
What tools, resources, or relationships do I already have access to right now?
What is the one small thing I can bring to God today and say — here it is Lord, use it?
SCRIPTURES I REFERENCE
Proverbs 18:15 — The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.
2 Corinthians 12:9 — My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.
Ephesians 2:10 — We are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Romans 8:28 — In all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Exodus 4:11–12 — Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.
Matthew 14:18 — Bring them here to me.
Psalm 37:5 — Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.
Joshua 1:9 — Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 — Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.
Philippians 4:13 — I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
YOUR THREE ACTION STEPS
Don't just listen — do the work. Here's what I'm challenging you to do before next week:
Identify Your One Thing — What is the one step you have been putting off because you didn't feel ready? Write it down specifically. Not a vague direction — a specific action. Vague intentions stay intentions. Specific actions become momentum.
Do It Scared — Take that one step this week. Before you feel ready. Before the imposter syndrome quiets down. Do it scared. Because courage is not the absence of fear — it is taking the step anyway.
Tell Someone — Tell one person what you just did or what you are about to do. Say it out loud. Because something powerful happens when we speak our intentions into the world — they become real, they become accountable, and they stop being just a dream.

Have you been telling yourself you can't afford to leave corporate? That you need more saved, better timing, or a more stable economy before you make your move?
What if that story isn't as true as you think?
In this episode, I am getting practical. Like, grab your notebook and open your bank app practical. Because today I am breaking down the five small daily spending habits that are quietly draining hundreds of dollars every single month — money that could already be building your financial runway out of corporate.
This episode is for you if you know God is calling you forward but the finances feel like the wall between you and your freedom. It is time to do the math together — because the numbers might just surprise you.
WHAT YOU'LL DISCOVER IN THIS EPISODE
Why "I can't afford it" is often a story — not a fact — and how to tell the difference
The five everyday spending habits quietly keeping you stuck
Why how you steward small things determines what God trusts you with next
What a Freedom Fund is, how to start one, and exactly how much you need to save before you make your move
THE NUMBERS WE BREAK DOWN
I am going to walk you through five everyday spending habits that feel completely normal — but are quietly draining hundreds of dollars every single month.
We start with the one that gets me every time. The coffee run.
If you are hitting Starbucks or Dunkin six times a week — and a lot of us are, because it is the one thing that makes the commute bearable — I want you to know what that single habit is costing you every year.
The number might make you put your cup down.
And that is just the coffee.
By the time we get through all five habits together in this episode, the total yearly number we land on is going to stop you in your tracks. Because it is not a small number. And every single dollar of it could be going directly into your Freedom Fund instead.
Hit play. Do the math with me. I think you are going to be surprised by how close you already are.
QUESTIONS TO SIT WITH
Grab your journal and let these land:
On the "I can't afford it" story:
Is "I can't afford it" a fact right now — or is it a feeling?
Have I actually looked at the numbers, or have I just assumed?
What would I do differently with my money if I knew I was leaving in six months?
On your spending habits:
Did this purchase move me toward my freedom or away from it?
Is this a need, a want, or a habit I haven't questioned in years?
What small habit could I redirect starting today?
On building your Freedom Fund:
What is my personal monthly number — what does it actually cost me to live?
What is my three to six month savings goal?
What is one thing I can automate this week to start moving toward it?
SCRIPTURES I REFERENCE
Proverbs 21:5 — The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.
Philippians 4:19 — And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Luke 16:10 — Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.
Hebrews 11:1 — Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Proverbs 16:3 — Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
Proverbs 27:23 — Know well the condition of your flocks, and give attention to your herds.
Luke 14:28 — For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost?
Proverbs 31:25 — She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
YOUR THREE ACTION STEPS
Don't just listen — do the work. Here's what I'm challenging you to do before next week:
Do Your Freedom Audit — Pull up your last 30 days of bank and credit card statements. Go through every transaction and identify what you're spending in the five categories we covered. Write the real number down. You cannot change what you refuse to look at.
Open Your Freedom Fund — Open a separate savings account today and name it something that connects you to your purpose. Set up an automatic transfer — even if it's just $25 or $50 to start. The amount matters less than the habit.
Calculate Your Number — Figure out what your personal monthly expenses actually are. Multiply that by three. That is your minimum Freedom Fund goal. Write it somewhere you will see it every single day.
READY TO MAKE A PLAN?
If this episode hit home and you are ready to stop doing this alone — I would love to help you build your real exit plan. Book a one-on-one Corporate Exit Strategy Call with me and we will get clear on where you are, where you want to go, and what your actual next steps need to be.

Have you been telling yourself you're not ready to leave corporate — but deep down you've known for a long time that it's time to go? There's a word for what's been holding you back, and it might not be what you think.
In this episode, I break down one of the most powerful distinctions for any woman stuck in corporate burnout: the difference between fear and concern. Because they feel similar — but they are not the same. One is from God. One is from the enemy. And knowing which one is driving your decisions could change everything.
This episode is for you if you've been feeling the pull toward a career change but keep talking yourself out of it, if imposter syndrome has convinced you that you're not qualified for anything outside your current job, or if you're craving real work-life balance and a sense of purpose — but fear keeps winning.
WHAT YOU'LL DISCOVER IN THIS EPISODE
The critical difference between fear and concern — and why it matters for your career change
Why your body may have been sending you signals long before your mind was ready to listen
How to recognize when God is repeating Himself — and what to do when He is
Why the "steady income" comfort trap keeps so many women stuck in burnout
What the funnel season is, and why it doesn't last forever
QUESTIONS TO SIT WITH
I ask these questions throughout the episode. Grab your journal and let them land:
On fear vs. concern:
Is what I'm feeling right now keeping me from being wise — or keeping me from being obedient?
Which one has been driving my decisions — fear or concern?
Have I been using my concern as an excuse to let fear win?
On what your body is telling you:
When was the last time I felt genuinely energized by my work?
When I think about going in tomorrow, what does my body do?
Is there something I do — a passion, a hobby, a skill people keep pointing to — where time flies and I feel like myself?
On divine confirmation:
What words or phrases has God been repeating to me in the last 3 to 6 months?
What themes keep coming up in my quiet time, my conversations, my prayers?
What doors have closed that I initially grieved — but maybe now can see were actually grace?
SCRIPTURES I REFERENCE
2 Timothy 1:7 — For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Joshua 1:9 — Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
1 Corinthians 6:19 — Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit?
Ephesians 2:10 — We are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Proverbs 3:5–6 — Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
Romans 8:28 — In all things God works for the good of those who love him.
1 Peter 5:7 — Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 — Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.
Psalm 119:105 — Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
YOUR THREE ACTION STEPS
Don't just listen — do the work. Here's what I'm challenging you to do before next week:
Name It — Write down everything that's been keeping you in place and label each one honestly: is this fear or wise concern?
Set the Date — Write down your last day. Put it on a sticky note somewhere you'll see it every single day. Obedience often starts with a date.
Tell 3 People — Share your intention with three people who will speak life over you and hold you accountable.
READY TO MAKE A PLAN?
If this episode hit home and you're ready to stop circling and start moving — I'd love to invite you to book a one-on-one Corporate Exit Strategy Call with me. This is a private coaching session where we'll get clarity on where you are, where you want to go, and what your real first steps need to be.

You're surrounded by people every single day — colleagues, meetings, a packed calendar — so why do you feel completely alone? In this episode, we're talking about something nobody says out loud at the all-hands meeting: burnout and loneliness aren't two separate problems. They're the same problem. And together, they will cost you everything.
This one is personal. After years in retail corporate management — where the phone never stopped and the expectations never paused — I learned the hard way what happens when work becomes your whole world. Burnout doesn't announce itself — it isolates you slowly, compounding quietly over years until your world has shrunk down to the four walls of your industry and work is the only thing left. The friendships fade. The family moments slip by. And somehow, in the middle of all the noise and responsibility, you become the loneliest person in the room.
And still — you stay. Because the money is real. The salary, the benefits, the lifestyle you've built around that income — it all feels too risky to walk away from. So you make a deal with yourself. You tell yourself it's temporary. But here's the hard truth: the money is never worth losing everything that matters. Your relationships, your time, your sense of self — those can't be bought back. And the company that took all of it from you will replace you without a second thought.
The loneliness you're feeling isn't a personality flaw. It's your soul telling you this is not the life you were created for. So in this episode, we're walking through three steps to break the cycle before it breaks you — how to admit what's really happening, how to deliberately rebuild relationships outside of work, and how to start building a real exit strategy before the burnout gets any louder.
Key Scriptures:
Psalm 34:18 — "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted."
Matthew 11:28 — "Come to me, all of you who are weary."
John 10:10 — "My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life."
Ready to build your way out? Book your Corporate Exit Strategy Call at stuckincorporate.com — in one hour, we'll get clear on where you are, where you want to be, and what your first step looks like.
